Brief Description of Work:

Hair Cut Man, Hair Cut Woman is an experimental video that examines my fascination with the imagery that we use to represent ourselves across different cultures, and the idiosyncratic nuances that one encounters as a tourist. Thai mannequins are the central image in this experimental travelogue that was shot over a 9 year period in Thailand. Certain visual themes that will be explored are this notion of a "tourist", the notion of what is bizzare or mundane to someone, how people in that culture view us as tourists, and the further ramifications of this in terms of their desire to be more like people in the western world.

Hair Cut Man, Hair Cut Woman  is currently distributed by Framed Films.
